Extremely difficult to install. When delivered it had a short adapter bolt on the base which did not attach to my Toyota in any way. The bolt has a 6mm x 1.0 thread where it screws into the base of the antenna. The 5mm x 0.8 end is not attached to anything. how to install; Purchase a foot length threaded rod with 6mm x 1.0 thread. Remove the inside of the damaged antenna and sand down to the white mounting ring. Thread the new rod through the base of the antenna and secure with a 6mm nut. Now use the original chrome nut to attach it after cutting off the excess threaded rod. Now the antenna makes contact and works really well. Easy right?
