To be honest I have no idea how well this works. It broke on the first attempt to use it. The wand not only broke, it broke when I tried to use it and got stuck in the curling tubes. Both the bottom and top of the wand's hooks were lodged in the meshes of the tubes and my hair was still inside. As I pulled my hair out of the wand's hook and pipe network, the wand snapped. To be honest I was scared that I would end up having to cut/rip my hair out. The strand of hair in question wasn't even the first one I did. Other attempts also lead to small leads. This was the worst incident that rendered the product unusable.
