I have had these cubes for many years and have used panels for various purposes. I wanted something to prevent my Roomba from crawling under my bed as it sometimes gets stuck in there and difficult to get out. These connectors seemed to be made out of harder plastic (and maybe they are as they come with a mallet for assembly) so they didn't connect in the same way as others I've had experience with. I only had to assemble them in one dimension (length) instead of three to serve my purpose, so in theory there was less stress on the wire mesh than usual. However, a wire in one of the panels came loose in two places when I connected the panels . I didn't use a hammer and didn't feel like I was putting undue pressure on the record. For reference, if the platters I've used in the past weighed 4 ounces each, I'd say that's 3. Only lighter, but not thin. They will work for what I need, but I would like to know if I bought this for storage.
