So I've been using this product for a few months now and I think everything is fine now. Despite all the complaints about the "swimmers" in the ice cubes, I understood what happened there. Stop using paper towels to dry the product when rinsing or washing. Somehow the silicone pulls the paper fibers off the paper towels. Now I only wash and dry by shaking (centrifugal force). I only use reverse osmosis water as I have a reverse osmosis system at home. Use bottled water for the rest. Remember, you don't want the fizzy water to dissolve in your fine adult beverage. To remove ice cubes, wait 5 minutes before attempting to push them out. It takes you 5 minutes to sweat the ice cubes a bit, which loosens their grip on the silicone. I am completely satisfied with this product following these recommendations that I have outlined for you here. I have stacks of these cubes in gallon sized ziplock bags in the freezer. So I have a lot of cubes for my guests when I get together.
