They are big - a good size to fill big/tall lights. They're plastic, not wax, so they won't melt if left outside. The plastic is white, not very thick. In broad daylight you can see that they are hollow and some kind of plastic fake. Making the plastic creamier might help them look a little more realistic in daylight. But in the evening and at night they give a pleasant glow. What I really dislike about them is that they don't come with a remote control and from what I've tried other traditional candle remotes they don't have the ability to pick up a remote control signal. All you have is an on/off/timer switch on the bottom. It's inconvenient that you have to open the lights to turn them on/off. Also, they glow well in the dark. If they had a new style of "swaying" flame effects, I would upgrade them to a star. MANUFACTURER, here's what we need: a 4x11 inch candle, off-white plastic, a wobbling flame mechanism AND a remote control. If you do all this for a reasonable price, you will crush it!
