I needed something to protect my glasses during a firefight. I tried several cases. The original glasses case was broken. A broken zipper was found on another suitcase with a zipper. This case is bulky but fits large glasses (I wear large cat eye frames that don't fit in standard cases). Despite its size, it easily fits into my equipment bags. I can easily clip it to my mask bag or raincoat. It obviously won't take fire, so I wouldn't leave it on my coat in these conditions. I love that I can open and close it quickly and it opens wide. Every second counts and I'm so tired of fiddling with my glasses case instead of putting on my mask and backpack. I just want it to be light colored or have reflective tape. I can change it myself. The inner pocket is ideal for storing cleaning wipes or cloths.
