These built-in hi-hat pads for 4" halogen ceiling hi-hats are easy to install. Pull out the existing flat cover and detach the back of the lamp from the jar mount. Attach the bulb to your existing bulb or a new bulb to the new retractable panel - this part is a little tricky but the bulb will fit in. Lift the panel and the bulb to the jar and connect the Back of the bulb with the cord inside the jar. Now put the lining in the jar. Make sure your hands are not dirty, otherwise there will be fingerprints on the ceiling around the lamp.
