These shoes look like slippers! They are very soft (almost too soft but I would expect them to shrink a bit to a more normal level). They are surprisingly light and very flexible. They feel and breathe like tennis shoes but with a much looser fit. I have an Achilles tendon problem that makes the back of the heel very tender (Haglund's deformity) and I feel great in these shoes! I usually wear a size 13E (wide) and that's what I bought this time. they fit perfectly. EDIT: I've had these shoes for 5-6 months, I wear them almost all day, every day. These shoes have made an immeasurable contribution to improving my health condition and I am able to walk normal distances again for the next few days without limping. I even wear them to the office with a pair of khakis. Yes. not as elegant as my Italian dress shoes, but the limp didn't look stylish either! The soles wear out fairly quickly, but it's a very soft material that offers comfort, so that's to be expected. I happily pay 50-60$ every 6 months for the mobility these shoes have given me.
