Don't worry so much about leadership.

. until you swallow it Lead sheet itself does not cause any health problems. The only problem is if you eat it or inhale the particles released when you grind or cut it. As acoustic engineers, we constantly use sheet lead as a means of dampening the mass of air ducts to reduce flow noise. It's cheap and fairly easy to mold into complex shapes. In a car, this material would be most effective for adding bulk to large body panels (doors, trunk floor, etc.) to reduce the amount of road noise entering the car from the outside. All they've done here is pack it into a handy form with a self-adhesive backing and add a hefty price premium.

Pros
  • housing and casing
Cons
  • unreliable
