Review on πŸ”‘ Door Hinge Pin Extractor Effectively Removes by Steve French

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great versatile tool!

Squeaky doors will always wake the child up. So I spent an entire Saturday dismantling all the doors in my house, disassembling, cleaning and lubricating all 21 sets of hinges with liquid bearings (see link below). After the hinge hardware was removed, I soaked it in warm, soapy water (good, but not very effective) and then rubbed it down with a bartender friend (very effective, make sure you do it). The hinge parts quickly dried out as the brass plating wore away, revealing raw metal that proved susceptible to rusting. Hinges screwed back on the door, liquid bearing applied, now all the doors open and close so easily and quietly it almost feels like I've moved into a new house. This door hinge remover worked great. I didn't see any signs of breakage or damage to the pin remover like some other reviews, they must have received a bad batch. The best thing about this tool is that all in one aspect it allows you to remove pins quickly. The tool pin effectively loosens the door pin with a few hard hammer blows. The end of the tool allows you to push out/pull out the door pin.
