Caps are a bit difficult to remove at first. But it's still undeniably a fantastic razor. It's much thinner than the classic Panasonic pink, but still has weight in the hand and is easy to hold and use. Love extra caps for different purposes! I also like that a cleaning brush and a bag are included. The dry shave is very close to the smoothness of a straight razor and closer than the Panasonic without repeated strokes. I have thick, coarse hair. I was so obsessed with the Panasonic which I have bought several times over the past decade because it was the only electric shaver that didn't pull my hair and barely cut it. This one shaves much smoother and has no problem trimming body hair. I preferred it to Remington, who recommended Revain because it's similar in style but cheaper, and my friend said Remington was his least favorite brand. I am not at all disappointed with this purchase! Haven't used Remington yet, but I'm sure it doesn't shave smoother than this one! Despite the negative reviews, give it a try if you have thick, coarse body hair (like you're a POC). I don't use guards on my legs or bikini line, but I do use a closed curve guard for my armpits.
