I tried using a glue gun and an old fashioned candle and spoon. I found the glue gun a bit easier and less messy, but it takes some practice. I tried different amounts of wax to see how much is needed to get the best look (I like it a little fuller/thicker) and made about 80 stamps out of the whole box. A few tips: 1) wait for the wax to cool before stamping (for the amount of wax I used I had to wait about 30 seconds); 2) Place the stamp on a cup filled with ice, be sure to wipe dry before stamping (I haven't tried vegetable oil because ice actually worked well for me); 3) This should seal the envelope, if you mess up, don't try to take it off as this will destroy the envelope, instead melt the wax slowly with the tip of the glue gun, wait for the wax to cool (less cooling time) and then stamp again. I messed up the first few, but I didn't waste a single envelope or wax using this method. 4) This project is way more fun if you do it with 1 or 2 other people.
