What can I say, it's quite an amazing technology for the price. I can get a consistent 440-480Mbps over 5GHz over Wi-Fi 6. I live in an apartment complex with severe interference from nearby Wi-Fi. Below you can check if your device uses at least 802.11AC. I bought my laptop in May 2020. It comes with Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201. 802.11AC has been widely used on hardware since around 2014. Speed Tests: - Hard Modem Connection -> 540Mbps 5GHz Auto Link Tests with 80MHz Bandwidth: -802.11AX -> 450Mbps-802.11AC -> 410Mbps-802.11N -> 105 2.4GHz Mbps - I haven't run any tests on 2.4GHz since there is too much Wi-Fi interference. No router, including the one I tested in this apartment, can exceed 5 Mbps. The ping ranges from 10ms to 20ms, but I think it reflects more of the data center running the test than the Wi-Fi router. This appears to be the same on Wi-Fi and wired connection, but appears to depend on the SpeedTest.net servers selected. However, apart from the router's basic function of broadcasting fast WiFi, the router's software lacks many advanced features. Pro Software: - Router automatically tracks bandwidth for each device, but this data is lost on reboot. What I noticed: You can schedule an automatic reboot schedule. You can limit the speed for individual devices. This is very convenient for my T-Mobile 4G LTE signal booster. I don't want to give my 500Mbps internet connection to my neighbors. - Router-level VPN connection using the L2TP protocol. Software Cons: - Requires nightly reboots to maintain high speeds. The planning function is professional. - Limited online support. - The organization of functions is a bit confusing. For example, the guest network is in the WAN settings, not in the security or wireless settings. This is likely to create a gap in your network for China. Generally for daily viewing and gaming
