I measured our new bunks and they were only an inch the size of a crib mattress so I bought these to cover the seat. we eat and drink on them. and they are light beige so I felt like they needed to be leak proof as I hate adding chemicals (protective sprays). They fit perfectly and hold up well. I haven't washed them yet but the packaging says to tumble dry low. That sounds like a bad idea to me, the pad is too thin and I've been doing laundry for over 40 years and have raised two kids. Maybe they would withstand ANY heat when drying, but I would never do it at a low temperature because the drying temperature is never consistently accurate. I even have love now. I just attach it to the rack above the dryer. They are lightweight and should dry quickly.
