Review on πŸ’§ After Inked Tattoo Moisturizer: Effective Aftercare Lotion, 3 Fluid Ounce - The Perfect Solution for Tattoos by Colleen Bolden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's okay, but it's overpriced and there are cheaper options that work better.

Well, I've had quite a few tattoos (I've added a few photos of some of them). My tattoo artist told me that after the first 2-3 days I can start using an unscented lotion or tattoo conditioner. I asked her about it, she said I can use it but there are better options for less money. So I put it to the test. I bought After Inked and the other lotion is Vaseline Advanced Repair which is a healing moisturizing lotion. I kept After Inked in the fridge because the directions say it's best to keep it that way. I've found that while it's moisturizing, it's thicker and more difficult to apply to a fresh, healing tattoo. I want to be able to apply the lotion fairly quickly so I don't touch it too hard while wetting it. It's harder to distribute, if that makes sense. I haven't tried any other products apart from the two I mentioned and Tattoo Slime (in the past). I've found that Vaseline Enhanced Recovery Moisturizing Lotion works by far the best. It provides the necessary moisture, is easy to apply and is very smooth. Keeps my look nice and bright. Helps get rid of itching. So After Inked works, but there are cheaper options that work better.
