The fuse is hardwired into the kit. So if you ever blow the fuse, you have to cut the fuse end off and replace it or buy another kit. A good fuse tap kit should allow you to replace the blown fuse. Not a huge deal to rebuild it if you are technically inclined, but a poor design.The second issue with this cable is that the voltage converter box is right in the middle of the cable making it very hard to hide in your trim. I was able to get the box into my dash by just a few inches, but I have a smaller car. If you have a big car you might have to get creative to deal with this. I would suggest that they redesign this cable, and put the box 1.5' from the fuse connectors. Placing it in the middle was a poor choice.
