These bonnet latches look great when installed. I was able to install it myself (just asked my husband to keep the bottom bolts from turning as I tightened the nuts from the inside of the side panel to finish faster otherwise I could do all the work myself ). Pros: 1. You can tell they're solid by the weight alone 2. They fit snugly on the hood so it doesn't rattle 3. Figuring out how to install them, taking the old ones off and installing the new ones, took less than an hour 4. So far they haven't scratched my paint like in several other reviews. Please note that two sets of gaskets are included. Make sure you use the correct one for your model, they are marked JK and JLCons: 1. No instructions. Don't worry, it wasn't hard to figure out. 2. I suggest using the nuts from the factory part, they seem more durable. 3. With little fingers, it is better to climb into the jeep to remove and install the bottom nuts. I'm glad I have 4 little woman's hands. When I first tried to close the latches they were definitely tight, to the point that I had to work hard to close them. But after a few openings and closings, they came off nicely. Tools Needed: A small socket wrench that fits into a tiny slot on the inside of the Jeep's body. You will need a 10mm (for the top latch on the hood) and a 13mm (for the side) socket.
