The pads are great and the velcro that keeps them in place is very sticky. But the pads are all 1/2 inch thick. This thickness proved to be more than I needed to underlay the helmet for a good fit. If there were pads of different thicknesses (e.g. 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2") I could successfully pad my helmet. However, as it turns out, I can't use any of the thicker pads and have to start with another set of thinner pads. (I recommend that you be more careful than I am about the thickness of the helmet pads you order.)
