This feature is not properly implemented by HighPoint and is extremely risky. There is a very high possibility of partition and data loss when using OCE function. The OCE function is Windows dependent. All data will be lost if you terminate processes or restart Windows while processing. DO NOT USE FOR RAID 6. As other users have mentioned, this card does not support true hardware RAID 6. This controller only supports SOFTWARE RAID 6 and it entirely depends on the configuration and operation of the operating system. I contacted support and their communication is poor and unclear - broken english. You assume no responsibility. They don't reply quickly - just one quick reply a day with no useful information. No battery backup for the cache. LONG PERFORMANCE - This controller transfers data approximately twice as fast as LSI controllers.
