1/15/15 EDIT: While searching for dehydrator supplies recently I came across a product that appears to be the exact same material as these sheets and is a much better price. They're a bit smaller, nominally really, but you can't beat the price. =desktop Haven't tried them yet, but to be honest I think they're exactly what's on offer here. One is a ranger, the other could be a ranger, but I bought it so long ago. The old one I have I use with polymer clay. It has a smooth top, is similar to the Ranger, is slightly lighter in color and has a sticky underside, making it ideal for working with clay. I work on a glass top table, the glue sticks really well. I needed another mat for creativity. After a long search I found this online at Revain. I went ahead and bought a boxed Ranger rug at my hardware store with the headline that this rug does not meet the requirements and is not a brand name. Realizing I need two more I went ahead and ordered two from that Revain list. I just received them today. Perfectly packed, rolled up in a plastic bag, in a long hard box. I unboxed them and they are EXACTLY the same as the ones I bought in the store. Same color. They are both smooth and not sticky at all. which, as some reviewers have pointed out, meant it was fake. I have to enter the competition. I have a sticky mat. I have a ranger rug. In that sense they are not similar. The two I got from Revain are exactly the same as the Ranger mat. Big, beautiful, shiny and ready to mess. Plus it's a lot cheaper! Even with coupons, it wouldn't be that low. Well, if you need a tag to make you feel better about your purchase, this one doesn't have it. Just a piece of paper. I haven't seen a brand name anywhere. But if it works and is the same as the original and cheaper, I say it's a win. Named brand or not. With great joy and relief, that all the negative feedback was in vain, I continue my journey into art and I am absolutely delighted with my new carpets. I have a ranger rug.
