Review on USB Transcend JetFlash 700 64 GB, black by Mateusz Sztrekier ᠌

A good product, I advise you to try it.

We needed acompact device to install Windows onnetbooks and for file storage - a USB hard drive is not always at hand. Its size is really not smallcompared to other flash drives, but it fits into your pocket and okay. The case is plastic and looks flimsy, but falls on a tile from a height of a meter is relatively painless. Minor scratches on the case appear on their own, regardless of handling. True, falling on the floor ofcomursecomntribute to the rapid appearance of scratches. Fingerprints also appear at the blink of an eye :) The indicator is dark blue, not very bright, it does not blind your eyes - that's what you need - it blinks during file operations as expected. The lid is weakly fixed when closed. In the open state, you can’t attach it anywhere - you just have to put it in your pocket, otherwise it’s easy to lose it and find the right one won’t work - the design differs from other flash drives of the JetFlash series. It does not heat up much - after writing a two-gigabyte file to it, it becomes barely warm for me. Disappointingly low speeds for small files. Here is a test on the USB2 port: And this is a test on the USB3 port: Conclusion: it is better to archive folders with small files into one large archive beforecompying to a USB flash drive. Otherwise, while waiting for thecompy tocomplete, you can drink more than one <strike> mug of beer </strike> cup of tea. In general, you can use. Moreover, the assortment of such flash drives in our stores is not particularly impressive yet. As the only alternative, you can also look at Silicon flash drives, but they seem to have a "jump" write speed even on relatively large files. Well, or wait for a price reduction for real USB3 flash drives.

Pros
  • Price-volume-speed ratio
Cons
  • Slight read speed, significant read-write speed drop for small files
