The right balance between cleaning and drying the skin

I have neurodermatitis. It's worse in winter and worse if I shower twice a day. My dermatologist recommended Vanicream soap. It works well because it doesn't cause eczema no matter how many times I shower. But it seems to me that it doesn't clean very well and leaves a slippery residue. I have tried many different soaps and this grandfather's pine tar is the best. It actually makes your skin very clear - even after a day of stump digging or intense jiu-jitsu. But it doesn't cause eczema and doesn't leave greasy marks. I actually believe it helps get rid of eczema but I can't prove it. I personally like the smell. To me, it's the smell of a campfire. My wife doesn't mind, but thinks it smells a bit like asphalt. But it can't be that bad because she uses it when she has eczema! I usually use it under the neck but it can be washed. It will not dry out your face or cause pimples. And indeed, it's great for a beard. I've washed my hair with it but it seems to build up a residue over time so I don't recommend using it as a daily shampoo. Stay below the forehead. All in all a great soap. Makes you beautiful and clean; without lubrication; no breakouts or dry skin.
