super bright compared to 20w halogen bulbs but they flickered even when not dimmed. (See details below) I was concerned about the thickness of the small lamp but they are no thicker than old lamps and fit very well. I connected them to my Miele hood with three lights and an AC dimmer. A lightbulb or two worked well and the dimmer worked too! But three flicker even at full brightness. Often there are conflicts between LED lamps and dimmers. They "confuse" each other and the lightbulb flickers. If you cannot switch dimmers, another known solution is to leave a halogen lamp in the circuit to stabilize the dimmer load and eliminate flicker. So I put the halogen back into the fixture that was still blinding my eyes and everything works great! (While the LEDs don't dim fully, they dim more than half.) I get a much brighter 26W panel instead of 60W.
