no problem with the batteries, they don't have expiration printed but it looks newly stocked. also nicely packaged in packs of 4 so I'm not worried about if one leaks it would ruin all others. I have bought Duracell before but that leaks like crazy and often ruin things for me - the expiration is 10 years in the future and they still leak, so what's the point?! I have switched to rechargeable for 90% of cases but for some applications like smoke alarm it requires 1.5V and the 1.2V rechargeable doesn't cut it so I had to get these. So far I have replaced the duracell from 2 alarms and it's been few months and these seem to do fine. And at 28 count for <$10 I am very happy.
