I chose this case after looking at hundreds of nearly identical general purpose cases. To be honest the color was 80% the reason for my choice but I also needed something that would last. Will it survive a fall from an extension ladder or roof? Probably not without a cracked screen or keyboard. But it certainly holds up being dropped from waist/table/counter height on an almost daily basis and no damage has been done. Knock on wood. The keyboard comes with a nice (I think) transparent silicone skin to keep crumbs out between the keys and it's not bulky at all. There is a place to store an Apple Pencil (with magnetic strips for the 2nd generation). The only thing I wish it was different is how easy it is to accidentally move the keyboard. Small tabs in the corners or a stronger magnet can help.
