Great alternative to plastic garbage bags

Update: I want to love these bags. I do. But they snap almost every time we try to throw them in the bin or when we take them out. We're being as careful as we can, but they're torn. This is such a disappointment because I feel like this is the best option for composting without plastic. Not a smell I like. I also like that it has a drawstring, compared to other alternative bags I've seen they either don't have one or the drawstring is plastic. What you need to know about these bags. You are fragile. You have to be careful when opening them to throw them in the bin. I tore open the side of one while trying to bypass it at the top. Also, when removing your bag from the bin, try not to pull too hard. And don't overfill your shopping cart. Tie first and then pull the tight part, not the tip. I would also be careful not to leave bags in the bin for more than a few days. I emptied the full bag after 3 days and the floor was slightly damp. I'm sure if you leave it wet for too long the bag will start to crack. But overall I'm happy with them. I would like something cheaper, but I understand that this is probably a small company and a new category of garbage bags, so prices will be higher.

Pros
  • Paper and plastic
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
