As other reviews have mentioned, writing a review on a damn toilet seat may seem ridiculous; but here it is! It took me a while to be sure I was ordering the right seat to replace my old one that was so soiled from cleaning with too much bleach and/or harsh detergents. I read last night that you shouldn't use bleach or harsh detergents on a pressed wood seat (who would have thought)! Anyway, my old one had knocked my OCD off the list and I couldn't look at it anymore. So this new seat arrived today and I was really worried before opening the box to swap it out. I was afraid that it might not fit or that it would be too difficult to install. But my god, it literally didn't last more than 10 minutes; extremely easy. Many reviews are absolutely correct; You just need to install it exactly as the instructions say and double, triple check that the bolts/nuts are secure; but be careful not to overtighten or the nut will break. I'm glad I was able to replace it myself without any problems. And I'm sure I planted it firmly enough; pun lol! (as mentioned in some reviews; hey guys, that's a toilet seat). it costs less than $20; so what to complain about. I'm just glad I can now turn on the light in my bathroom and see a new spotless one; white seat. That made my day! Note: Some of these reviews seem unreliable; with breakage, cracking, loosening, falling of seats, etc.; I'm not saying these things don't happen, but sometimes; Complaints come across as too embellished and disingenuous. Let's all try to be honest and aware of the feedback we leave for other customers who are looking to make a purchase. On the other hand, I value most reviews because they help me make an informed decision about what I'm actually buying.
