This is a well thought out product with a big flaw. It offers multiple ways to mount the product, one of which is on walls with protruding studs like the ones I have in my garage. The problem is that if you want to connect all the pieces on the open wall surface of the cabinet, you will find that the pre-drilled mounting holes are at 16.25", not 16". Therefore, the two ends are not attached to the fleshiest part of the corresponding 2x4 cleat, but only to the edges. Of course, if you're installing this on indoor drywall you can use the included anchors, not to mention the stud centers. As such, metal hangers can be a bit finicky to hang any tool, but that's not a bad thing. Useful if not for a disadvantage.
