It holds my microphone well, but it needs a little adjustment to make it hold without stuttering. I settled on some zip ties tightened around the hinge on my arm and it seems to be working decently. There was also a creak, but that can be corrected with white lithium grease. For installation I would suggest having something to protect the underside of your table as the screw clamp will bite into anything that isn't tight (in my case it crashed into my Ikea table). I ended up installing it further away from me on top of the metal plate for my leg from Ikea and had no problems with it. For the $30 I spent, I'll say it's a fair price, especially if you want "no open springs" to look cheap, but the fact that I had to "glue" something, that should work well is kind of a shame. All in all, this is a "you get what you pay for" tutorial and I was able to get it to work for my needs. (My microphone is Samson Q2U, fantastic microphone)
