I bought 3 filters from HeredomUS to have on hand. Delivery in 3 days, in excellent condition, well packaged. Inexpensive at $60.20. I am very satisfied with HeredomUS! Good service! I will never buy Franke filters direct again because of their $85 price tag. But I buy the Franke brand, not a fake. I like this filtration system and filters even though they are expensive. The water tastes and smells fresh, no chemicals or foreign aromas - our water is really not drinkable without a filter. I use filtered water for cooking vegetables, rice, pasta. For a family of 2, the filter lasts more than 6 months. I went as long as 9+ months. But after that I get nervous (although the water still tastes fresh but the flow is definitely slower) because if the water contained cysts or other contaminants I wouldn't want to keep the filter too long past the recommended lifespan. The system was installed in our kitchen remodel 12 years ago and hasn't let us down. It is compact and easy to change filters. The manufacturer recommends running water within 10 minutes after changing the filter. And then do not use for 24 hours to adapt the filter to the local water. Instead, I ran the water through the filter without installing it, then stored it in a tall container filled to the brim with water. After installing it, the next day I drained the water into a 2 gallon container (for flowers as California always gets dry) for 10 minutes. I timed it and after 10 minutes I hadn't hit 2 gals. All in all, I can't think of any other system I'd rather use and we've tried several. There are no cons for this product.
