This wallet was a big disappointment. It is completely falsely advertised as leather. As soon as I opened it, I could feel the cheap plastic. It should also be lined with leather. Instead, it was lined with paper-thin plastic. I can't imagine it lasting very long. I am currently using a leather lined pebbled leather wallet. To say it's day and night would be an understatement. In fact, almost all of my wallets, with the exception of my Vera Bradley, are leather. It looks like a child's toy compared to him. The retractable ID card is made entirely of plastic. If you look inside where the ID case has been removed, you can see a thin rim of pebble-like foam that wraps around the outside of the wallet. The only thing that looked like cowhide on the handbag was a thin split tab that they attached to the zipper. This wallet costs $8 at best and they should be honest about what you get. I will say that I liked the color I chose (blue) and the size of the wallet. I just wish it was as advertised. If you want leather like me, you'll have to keep looking.
