Review on 🔬 Filtrete Advanced Microbial Filtration 3US PF01 by Michael Freemason

I was looking for a replacement filter and looked here at Revain as it wasn't available locally at the time. When the first one arrived, the box wasn't in the best condition. (See photo of the box with the bottom almost torn off). I removed the old filter to install the new one and tried for a few minutes but it wouldn't install. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out why it took forever to wire it up. It turned out to not fit at all even though the model number was exactly the same. (See image for a comparison between the original on the left and this new one on the right). So I set up a replacement at Revain and yesterday the replacement arrived again with a not great box (see photos 3-6 of the box). In fact, this one was in the worst condition as the top was "taped down" with a piece of tape. It quickly became clear to me that this would not work either, even though the model number was identical to the old one. It was identical to the one I bought. So then I started to see if it was available locally and sure enough, it WAS! So I went to the store and bought one and when I got in the car after buying it I opened the box and knew right away it would work as the top of the filter was the same as the old one I was using ( see photo) Pic 7 of a filter I bought locally, with red cap). It had the right cutouts so it could fit properly. I don't know what's going on here, but after two filters I will buy locally again and not worry about the filters not working. , and the need to adjust the return. Note: I bought this model of filter in the last few years and it takes a few seconds to install.
