I've never owned a set of over-ear headphones before. I had my doubts at first because I had heard that they are cumbersome and meant solely for listening at home, but I decided to give them a shot anyhow. Choose between the Bose NC700 and the Sony. Whilst Sony's features and big number of positive reviews piqued my interest more than Bose's, I ultimately chose Bose because of its superior build quality and design. Personally, I found Sony to have superior sound quality (albeit I recognize that this is a highly relative evaluation). In terms of drawbacks: It's frustrating that they're made entirely of plastic during production. It's not inexpensive and it feels good to the touch, but it's still plastic. Common problem with this type is a cracking sound coming from the left cup as you walk. At first, it drives you crazy; you may have even considered selling it; but eventually, you adjust to it or stop caring. There are "solutions" to this problem that can be found on the internet, but I didn't implement them. In reality, the bow's friction causes the squeak, and lubrication stops the noise. It's a tight native app, but I still don't like the way it looks (it's very different from the iOS design), and it has occasional bugs. Thankfully, you won't need to use it very often. I found the headphones to be comfortable and began using them around the house and out in public; now I can't fathom life without them. The earbuds are soft, the sound is pleasant, and they block out noise quite effectively. Everything stays linked and rapidly establishes a relationship. That's what I do with my iPhone. I do listen to them on a string occasionally (mostly at home), and the sound is naturally superior on a wire. If the iPhone supported LDAC, the wireless audio quality would be significantly greater than with ordinary AAC.
