Review on Retainer Buddy by Paula Stewart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best invention!

I don't know why he got negative reviews! I've had Invisalign for almost 2 years now and I still have a few months to go. I have 24 nozzles and 2 rubber bands. I've tried several positions of the remover and judging by my consoles this is by far the easiest way for me. If you try to use this removal tool like you're pulling out the aligners with your fingers, it won't work. Here's how I do it: For my upper aligner, I place a spoon on the aligner next to my back molar. , and place it sideways in your mouth to use the opposing teeth as leverage (see image). I just use my thumb and push up slightly and the aligners pop out on that side and I can pull them out. For the bottom aligners, I spoon them onto the aligners next to the back molar and push them up. He removes the aligner from a couple of molars, after which I can easily remove it. I don't scratch my teeth and he never touches my gums. I take them everywhere and my dentist said she likes them because the plastic ones with little hooks damage the aligners. I can't comment on these plastic tools as I haven't used them, but I think they break sooner or later and need to be thrown away, bought new and thrown away again. Not for photos. It's expensive, but be aware that it's an investment for life. Once you get rid of your corrective aligners for good, you will have retainers that you will wear for the rest of your LIFE that also need to be removed.
