AC adapter purchased February 2017 Over the past two years I have noticed from time to time that the battery will not charge when the AC adapter is turned on is adapter is power connected. was included in the household network. At first I thought it was a faulty outlet in the kitchen as it charges when plugged into other outlets. I tried the kitchen socket again and it worked fine. Today, December 13, 2018, I plugged the power adapter into the household outlet, but I didn't see the battery charging. I started checking the adapter connections and suddenly there was smoke coming out of the cable. I later found out that the neutral (black) line was shorted and the wire was melting. Was very glad I didn't leave the unit on overnight.
