The charger charges fairly quickly, the tip just gets very hot. I'm good with numbers so I clocked it from 7% to 100% in maybe 45-50 minutes the first time. You can see that this is not a genuine Apple product. You'll have to play with the end part a bit to make it start charging after the first few uses. I usually just unplug the charger from the end piece and plug it back in and it starts working. Not to mention the excellent cable length. Overall a good charger that I would recommend. :) Update: Here I am, literally a month later, one of the chargers broke, the other stopped working altogether... I do NOT recommend :(
