I've seen quite a few people asking about this and the answer wasn't that obvious to me so I thought I'd be direct. Costco sells (or at least used to sell) a 32-inch curved monitor from Samsung that isn't VESA compliant. This adapter works with this monitor and allowed me to mount it on the VESA Ergotron mount. I'm concerned about moving this monitor TOO much as it wobbles a bit and I'm a little worried about where the adapter meets the actual monitor, but it seems solid enough to me. If you're planning on using this one Basically just leaving monitor static I bet this adapter will work indefinitely if you often move your monitor at significantly different angles, but not because of the adapter itself, but because of the plastic where the monitor connects to the adapter.
