Best space saver in clothes and closet storage
These hangers save space when used vertically. When you receive them, part of the hook is when each hanger is inserted into the grooves. The trick is to pry part of the hook out of the slots. Some of them get stuck and it takes some effort to get them out of the notch so you can collect them upright. Vertical use saves more space than horizontal use. Coat hangers with wire hooks also fit better in the cut-out. Thicker plastic shackles will not fit in the recess (see my picture with the plastic shackle). Most of my hangers have wire hooks so they are perfect for cut outs.
