Damaged item. I received the square in a plastic bag coated with shipping grease, as expected. There are no problems with lubrication, it does not rust during transport. My problem is related to the apparent damage to one corner of the court. As it was shipped in a light plastic bag I'm not sure if this was a problem during shipping or production. Does this damage affect the operation of the course? Maybe not, but I still don't want to get a new square. Edit: upgraded to 1 star. On closer inspection, this square is far from the accuracy described. The square is attached to the base unevenly, the mounting holes are drilled unevenly. This creates a visible slope of the square. The square is also not flat when placed on a block of granite, there is noticeable wobble when each end is touched. I think you get what you pay for at this price. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who needs real precision.
