Rarely have I seen a product that is superbly made and does what it's designed to do - punch a hole in this case - but is rendered useless by its impractical design. Take a look at the punch head: it's bulky, making it difficult and awkward to see where to align the punch with the intended hole. Of course, if you're working with paper, you've got a two-inch range; probably not a problem. Do you work with leather? Shoes? clothing artifacts? The jaws don't open wide enough - not exactly what you need. You can't see where you hit and when you hit it's too late. A two inch overhang is useless when working with shoes or clothing; What you want is for the puncher's jaws to open wide, and the dumb thing can't. You've got a fucking hole where it's not supposed to be. I'm so disgusted with this useless bone device. After the return was approved, I threw it in the trash. There's a better solution to punching a ΒΌ-inch hole: search the internet for a twist-lock tool. It works with your cordless drill to punch holes in leather and fabric.
