Synthetic leather material looks normal and very similar to real leather. However, the seams on the cup holder were very flimsy and easily came loose. It happened when I met him in passing. I'm glad it happened in my garage because it can't possibly be considered roadworthy. I mean I barely touched the cup holder when I walked past it and it just fell over! Don't waste your money if you don't have another/better way to attach the cup holder to the base.
