I got them specifically for coax although several reviews say they don't fit. I'm going to break the mount by putting the cable in, but it fits. I didn't break anything at all. The fit is snug enough that once the clip is on the cable, you can't easily move it. Also, you have to attach the clip to the coaxial cable before attaching the clip to the wall - you basically don't stand a chance if you attach it to the wall first. This caused some issues with clips coming loose, but I was able to fix everything. This isn't a problem with thinner cables - they allow you to attach the clip to the wall first.
