I previously had a large chunky high chair and small dining area. I love how small it is and that they can sit right at the table so they are more involved in the family meals. Assuming your table works with it. My first table didn't work and it was so sad the kid had to sit at the counter. Since then we've polished another table with no crease on the top edge and no vertical part on the bottom. Sticks great. We used it on my mother-in-law's desk and it barely worked due to the height of the item underneath. I now have a slightly larger dining area and the space savings are still wonderful. Which makes me so sad that the rest isn't very good. It does not wipe off easily and therefore the first meal or snack after washing is disgusting. The fabric sometimes leaves a sour food smell as I can't throw it in the wash after every meal or even daily. Since it does not wash well, it must be washed. Didn't stand up to washing. The clasp is broken and due to washing and the weight of the children it has broken in several places. While not particularly difficult, it is a nuisance to take apart and put back together to wash. You need to remove the pipes and bottom plate and then put them back in place properly. The top tube has a foam coating that also cracks. The side pipes get rusty if water gets in when washing and yes you have to wash/wipe because kids can grab them with their nasty hands and also food can get underneath and into the grooves. I've had it for several years now and use it for three children no older than two (I look after my nieces and nephews and one of my own so it's been used a lot). It definitely hasn't stood the test of time.
