My check engine light went on and off for a while. I took it to the dealer one day and they said "sorry the lights are out right now so we can't understand it." BS! I installed this cover and the light went out immediately. It's been a week now and not only is the light off, but the car runs smoother and accelerates better. So the old cap must have fiddled with the compression and let the engine light come on.
