This 2 step foam ramp never fully extended to 11+ inches and gave me just under 9 inches. It's been a few days since unpacking and I think that's the maximum it will stretch. The fabric cover is very loose as it hasn't fully opened yet. I've sent a question to other buyers to see how things went for them and how long the expansion took and they told me it's been a few hours and everyone seems very happy with theirs. So I'm attributing it to an accident, defective item and returning it for a 3 step ramp instead.
