IT'S TOO EASY TO ADJUST AND HOLDS ADJUSTMENTS WELL!

I can try out the conical chambers arranged next to each other for rock salt and pepper, since salt in particular settles out quickly. Despite being bedridden, I still have a survivalist mindset: one is nothing and two is one! about durability. I change the degree of grinding depending on use. In salads and most foods, I prefer a coarse grind for both pepper and salt. If I'm making a salad dressing with olive oil and vinaigrette, I prefer a finer dressing so it mixes well since both go in the bottle last. I turn the grinder knob counterclockwise (looking directly at the knob) half a turn to make it finer and half a turn clockwise to make it coarser again. So far these adjustments are holding up and working great! Looks great too! It's nice to see how much Himalayan salt or pepper stays in the chambers, and the stainless steel details look great on my bedside table next to my large bottle of Tabasco. He's quite tall and a little unsteady when moving the bed. Another block with conical chambers could reduce the height a little, plus I wouldn't mind a half inch larger diameter to accommodate more salt/pepper. I had to derive the diameter by looking at the people's hands in the illustrations without knowing their height. It would be helpful if ALL sizes were listed on products like this!

Pros
  • FRESH SPICES: Spices begin to oxidize after grinding and quickly lose their strength. Regular use of a coarse salt or pepper grinder will provide you with fresh spices and raise your cooking standards. A small to medium sized grinder works best for home cooking as spices lose their flavor with age and you shouldn't leave them in a large grinder for too long. The transparent plastic housing lets you know when it's time to fill up.
