The plastic is not strong enough
The plastic they are made of is not strong enough to be used to cover number plates. When initially installing with a hand screwdriver, this was enough to break the license plate cover. It was flat and had no unexpected torque. I still used them. I don't expect them to last as long as my old license plate covers as the plastic isn't made of the right mix of plastics to make them strong and durable.
