My only linocut experience before using these blocks for cutting was the Speedball Block Printing Starter Kit, which included a sheet of linoleum to practice with. So having no comparison to SGHUO linoblocks I can say I had no trouble cutting them and was very comfortable to work with. In one shot I used the entire block for my image. , and in the second image I was able to use regular scissors to cut a smaller piece out of the block by cutting a deep line around the image and then cutting through the thinned area. Otherwise, use a box cutter blade to snip off smaller pieces from the block.
