Very easy install, worked as expected on launch. No problems after our first day. The unit comes fully assembled except for the hose assembly and the panel that opens the window. Our box had straps all around and when they are removed the entire box lifts up allowing the unit to sit fully open on the bottom of the box. Very clever - no need to turn the box upside down or do other oddities to get the device out. Our window slides horizontally so the panel is deployed vertically; I was worried it wouldn't be long/big enough, but it was too long. The panel was thin enough that we never had to remove the screen! The plug is a standard US three-pin plug; All the talk about the LCDI didn't let me know what to expect, but it wasn't a problem. There is an internal container for condensate and an indicator light to show when it needs to be drained. Simple cooling is very simple - set the target temperature and off you go. A strong cold air outlet that circulates well in our apartment even at low power. Fan noise isn't a problem (we turn the TV up a bit) and compressor on/off isn't a problem either. We haven't tried the remote yet. I will update the information as the summer heat increases demand for the device.
