Update after over two months. If I could give this watch 10 stars I would. I have now logged over 490 miles of walks, runs and runs on my watch. According to Garmin, I'm in the top 96% of daily steps (over 15,000,000,000 steps per day). I walk/jog/run my dog 5 miles every morning and use the tracking feature every day weather permitting. The GPS function is accurate and consistent. It logs every day up to 100 miles and halfway to the exact spot. I don't vouch for the calorie counter, but it says I burn more on days I run, or run a fraction of the 5 miles or less on days I'm just brisk. Heart rate is consistent with my Omron and Kardia devices. The best part is I feel 100% better now having lost 25 pounds since buying the watch. The clock is solid, which is a constant reminder to eat right. This prompted me to make a better choice. I'm sure fit athletes love this watch for many reasons, but for me it saves my life. I think I should stop taking meds to slow my heart rate as I had to cut the dose in half. My cholesterol levels are amazing and what seemed like prediabetes is going away. Another 20 pounds and I'm sure I'll feel even better. I can't say enough good things about the watch. money well spent. These are amazing watches. First, it feels solid and not cheap. The strap has many adjustments for my wrist. The HR monitor seems to be accurate. At least it fits my Omron 10 cuff. The GPS is one place I can check because I can zoom into a preloaded map. It's pretty cool, but what's even more surprising is how the points of interest are displayed. There's so much sports tracking in this thing that it blows my mind. I can't wait to ski with him. The color screen is amazing. Garmin must have done quite a bit of research into the usability of this thing because for a watch the menus aren't bad. I bought a refurbished one, it has US maps and is in excellent condition. To update. The battery life is amazing, but when you need to charge the watch, it charges up very quickly. I walked/jogged 54 miles in just one week. It motivates me. Best buy in a long time.
